Service factor

• The service factor (f.s.) depends on the operations the gearbox is subjected to.
  Following parameters need to be take to select the right service factor.
  – type of  load of the operating machine A-B-C
  – length of daily operating time: hours/day(▲)
  – start-up frequency: starts/hour(★)
• Type of load:
  A-uniform, fa≦0.3
  B-moderate shocks, fa≦10
  fa=Jex(kgm2) moment of the external internal inertia reduced at the drive shaft
  fm=Jex(kgm2) moment of inertia of motor
